Pastor Jack Hayford, one of the great spiritual giants of the last century, believed that the friendship between Christians and Jews was central to our faith. In 2012, he founded the Israel Christian Nexus alongside General Shimon Erem to build bridges of understanding. This vision wasn’t his alone—it was shared by Bishop Robert Stearns, who had been walking this path for decades in deep friendship and mission with Pastor Jack and General Shimon.

For over 30 years, Bishop Stearns and Eagles’ Wings have carried forward this mission. From leading thousands of Christians on transformative trips to Israel, to spearheading the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem, to cultivating relationships between pastors and Jewish leaders worldwide, Bishop Stearns has continued the work of his mentors.

But everything changed on October 7, 2023. The horrific attack on Israel shook the world, and Bishop Stearns was there in the Holy Land when it happened. He knew in that moment that it was time to take Pastor Jack’s message from a regional reach to a global one.

Today, the Nexus is leading the charge—mobilizing Christian leaders worldwide to stand against antisemitism, support the Jewish people, and integrate Israel into their ministries. The Nexus was founded to move beyond slogans—creating a space for real, thoughtful engagement with Israel. Since then, we’ve equipped pastors to lead with insight, courage, and conviction.
